Love MoneyNext and want to know more about the people behind it? Well, we’ve got you covered. Introducing our Meet the Team series, where we catch up with our incredible team, delve into their roles and chat about what a typical day looks like for them.
Another day, another meet the team series! We’re chatting with Kevin, our Director of Sales here at MoneyNext.
Kevin’s role includes overseeing sales and making stellar partnerships with some of our biggest clients in the fintech industry – so you can imagine how busy he is! See what Kevin gets up to in his role and how he has found working from home.
Tell us about you, your role and what your day to day is like.
I’m Kevin, Director of Sales at MoneyNext. I have been heading up the sales function at MoneyNext for over 4 years and been in the events industry for a total of 6. My previous life before events was in sales for a renewable energy company, focused on doing my bit for the environment.
As a salesperson, I love speaking to people and building rapport with prospects and clients. The most important thing for us is to understand the challenges they are facing in the market and to assist them by utilising our range of MoneyNext products and services.
My core role within the business is to drive the sponsorship campaigns for the summits, acquiring new customers and retaining existing clients across the MoneyNext portfolio. The main portion of my day consists of engaging with new prospects, liaising with existing customers and managing the process throughout the entire customer journey.
What's the best thing about being part of the MoneyNext Team?
The culture. It’s great being part of such a progressive and forward-thinking company. We are a small yet experienced team with a wealth of knowledge within the events industry. The size of the team means that we are always agile and can adapt to changes in our environment very quickly.
What keeps you motivated while working from home?
I am always very motivated to succeed, wherever I am based. It was initially a bit of an adjustment working from home but now it definitely feels normal. I also get to spend more time with the kids as well, which is great… most of the time.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My spare time is mainly spent with the family. We tend to go out on a lot of walks and just enjoy doing things outside, while aiming to avoid soft-play areas… to the best of my ability. Other than that, I will most likely be exercising or trying to catch a football match on the TV.
